Underground utility construction is a substantial component of Syblon Reid's portfolio. We perform all types of underground work including water, sewer, storm drain and dry utilities. Sewer work is typically very deep, up to 40 feet, with minimum slope, often in unstable soils requiring substantial shoring, in groundwater conditions that require dewatering by well points and treated discharge and often in rocky conditions that require blasting. Our storm drain experience has involved every type of installation including plastic, corrugated steel and concrete pipe, up to 120" diameter, arch culverts, bolted steel culverts and concrete box culverts. Much of the storm drain is installed in conditions similar to those of our sewer installations.
