Hoffman Co. saved phase five of the Los Lagos project in Placer County, California until the end for a reason — it was the most difficult of the phases. The major challenges included rocky conditions and the time frame given to complete the project. The contract was signed August 22nd and the completion date was scheduled for December of the same year.

In just four months, Syblon Reid developed the infrastructure for this sixty-acre subdivision. The project required:

• Two and a half months of rock blasting adjacent to Auburn-Folsom Road
• Clearing and mass grading
• A joint utility trench with 10,000 lineal feet of storm drains and sewer and water lines
• The expansion of Auburn-Folsom Road to accommodate traffic needs including curbs, gutters, and paving
