Location: Yuba County, CA

A hydro project, scope of work consisted of installation of a 14' Diameter Valve in the penstock serving Colgate Powerhouse which is located at the end of a six mile tunnel which conveys water from Bullard's Bar Reservoir. This system supplies water for power generation with a head of over 600'.

A major challenge of the project was the large diameter pipe and installation of the 14' valve. Work was completed during specific shut-down periods to accommodate the client's needs.

This project was selected as a finalist for a 2009 Associated General Contractors of California (AGC) Constructor Award for Excellence in Project Management.
