Client: Bureau of Reclamation
When the only water line supplying water from Folsom Lake to the City of Folsom and Folsom Prison was damaged, SRC was called upon to immediately repair the 42” line before water supplies were depleted for both customers.
Onsite for another project, SRC was handed the work. In short time the project team assembled production and safety plans as well as scheduled
subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries to start the emergency work. Working round-the-clock in winter rain, SRC crews installed a 24” HDPE bypass pipeline and in a little more than 24 hours the water was back on to the City of Folsom and Folsom Prison before water supplies reached the critical stage.
Once the bypass was operational SRC installed the replacement 42” pipeline in a matter of 5 days to replace the 24” bypass HDPE. To accelerate the schedule, fabrication for the 42” pipe was done onsite by SRC employees.
