Metro Air Park Water Tank & Booster Station

Location: Sacramento, CA

A public works project, the main scope of work includes installation of a 2.5 million gallon welded steel water tank, a booster pump station, and construction of a 3,000 SF control building with a sodium hypochloride injection system. Associated work includes site grading with lime treatment, construction of 2 surge tanks and a standby generator room with above ground fuel tanks, 4 flow measuring and valve control vaults with piping, and installation of 6 booster pumps including 4-125 hp pumps.

Project challenges include making 10 interconnections to an existing 24" watermain running directly underneath the site and complying with strict environmental requirements.
